9439 - Project Control Officer - Senior

MUST HAVES: 

  • Experience with Agile project management and development practices, managing the backlog, sprint planning, velocity tracking, Agile testing, retrospect, etc.
  • Experience with project management software such as MS Project, Planview, Jira, or Microsoft DevOps Azure
  • Experience working with federal/provincial/broader public-sector healthcare providers.
  • Experienced in assisting in the creation and maintaining detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
  • Provides regular updates to stakeholders and senior management.


Responsibilities:
Provide assistance to project managers and project team, in coordinating, planning, communicating, and executing the delivery of core project components.

·      Manage project/work plans, tracking and analytics for the program/project execution.

·      Responsible for creation and/or maintenance of management dashboards and executive summaries.

·      Support the coordination of high-profile projects to ensure deliverables meet business needs on time and within budget.

·      Assist in tracking project scope, timelines, and costs using OPS project management tools and frameworks.

·      Communicate with ministry staff and external partners to support relationship management.

·      Help gather and document project requirements and maintain detailed project schedules.

·      Coordinate with team members to clarify roles, responsibilities, and expectations.

·      Support conflict resolution and ensure knowledge sharing among team members.

·      Assist in preparing and monitoring project budgets, including estimates and reconciliations.

·      Use project management tools to record and report project data accurately.

·      Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning and updates.

·      Maintain and update the Integrated Project Plan (IPP) based on changes and feedback.

·      Monitor project progress and timelines, and report on delays or risks/issues.

·      Prepare regular status updates and progress reports for stakeholders.

·      Track and log project issues, and support issue resolution processes.

·      Help identify risks early and assist in developing mitigation strategies.

·      Review and document change requests and update project plans accordingly.

·      Support the development of business transformation and adoption plans.

·      Create and maintain knowledge transfer documentation.

·      Participate in steering committees and stakeholder meetings as needed.

·      Assist in preparing reports and presentations for senior executives.

·      Support change management efforts throughout all project phases.

·      Promote adherence to OPS I&IT standards and best practices.

·      Follow OPS Unified I&IT Project Methodology and eHealth Ontario gating processes.

  • Demonstrate strong teamwork and reliability in meeting deadlines.
