Job Description:

Responsibilities 
  • Keep up to date with trends and changes in the UI space
  • As part of a development team, interface with system designers, business system analysts, application analysts and testing specialists to deliver high quality solutions
  • Participate in the development of the design and take accountability for deliverables
  • Gain experience as part of a team working on projects involving 3rd party team members
  • Participate in various review processes – i.e. Business Requirements, Test plans, Design reviews, etc. to gain understanding of the application and provide input into the deliverables
  • Perform application enhancements and integration
  • Coordinate small projects from initiation through planning, requirements, construction to implementation and post-implementation reviews
Required Skills
  • Understanding of the difference between UX and UI design and development with an emphasis on maximizing usability
  • Solid UI interface development (Typography, Photography - can do basic color corrections, touch-ups, etc., color theory, layout, etc.)
  • Good prototyping skills using various industry best practices
  • Utilizes storyboarding and graphic pre-designs where appropriate
  • Front-end skills utilizing HTML5, CSS4, JavaScript and jQuery, Parsley, Mustache, LESS, Ajax, with some basic understanding of how back-end development works
  • Experience with the ADOBE Suite, especially Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Content Management System experience (some knowledge and understand how to create the HTML for that system)
  • Experience with software application integration (has an idea of what is meant by “slice the content for integration)
  • Knowledge of current and keeps up to date with current mobile design trends
  • Good overall technical skills, with experience in web application development using java technologies, Weblogic or equivalent application server, and Eclipse IDE
  • Experience with application software testing tools & techniques
