Job purpose

To provide technical solutions, designs, options, and risks for business projects and related requirements. Develops data models, solution architecture, and integration methods to deliver project solutions within the existing application, technology, and business environment.
Evaluates and recommends appropriate frameworks, tools, patterns, and services for solution development. Serves as a senior development resource to provide technical direction and leadership. Mentors junior development and architecture staff.

Duties and responsibilities
  • Provide solution architecture design for new projects
  • Develop appropriate data models and integration with existing database schema for all projects
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate technology approaches, tools, patterns, and
  • development practices for project delivery
  • Mock up application designs for new development and application updates
  • Document and diagram the technical and data model design for all projects
  • Develops applications and serves as a senior technical lead to provide direction and mentorship to a team of developers
  • Interact with all business units to present, discuss, and recommend solution options

Qualifications/ Education/Certifications 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or relevant experience
  • TOGAF 9 certification preferred

Experience
  • 15+ years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining technical solutions.
  • 10+ years of experience developing in a .NET environment
  • 5+ years of experience developing solutions with SQL Server and Oracle
  • 5+ years of experience leading and mentoring a team of development and resources
  • 1+ year experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Azure Service Bus
  • Experience with Amdocs Enterprise is strongly preferred
  • Experience using Workfront is an asset
  • Experience within the directory publishing/local search/marketing services industry an asset
